Load shedding
Load shedding largely suspended
ZESA has reported long uninterrupted spells (over 130 days of continuous supply in early 2026) and its group CEO says load shedding should end beyond 2026. When power does go now, it is usually a fault or planned substation maintenance affecting specific suburbs for a few hours, not a national load-shedding programme.
As at 4 July 2026.
